Principal’s Message

I am excited and humbled to begin the 2016-2017 school year as Most Blessed Sacrament’s principal.  I have always considered my involvement in Catholic schools as a God-given gift.  Where else can one work and live their faith as openly as I am able to each day?  In addition, every day provides a laugh or a smile because of our amazing students.
You are about to begin a journey much like the journey the disciples took to Emmaus.  Choosing a Catholic school for your child is part of their journey to knowing, loving and living for Christ.  As you embark on this process of discernment I hope you will consider Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School has been providing Catholic education in southeast Baton Rouge for over 36 years.  The mission of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is to minister to the educational needs of our parish family by providing a teaching atmosphere which promotes gospel values and academic excellence for our students.  Simply stated we educate the mind, body and soul!
Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is a vibrant, welcoming community of faith committed to teaching the message of Jesus and the truths of the Catholic faith, while providing the highest level of challenging academics.  Awarded a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School provides a curriculum that meets and exceeds Louisiana Curriculum Content Standards for Education. One hundred percent of our dedicated, experienced faculty is certified.
Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is committed to providing state of the art technology for student use.  Students in grades 6-8 will begin the 2016 school year with 1-to-1 computer access.  Additionally, all classrooms are equipped with projectors and touch screen technology.

In addition to faith, academics and technology, Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School strives to educate the whole child.  We offer exploratory programs with options in band, choir, art, computer, Spanish, library study skills, life skills, etc.  We also celebrate a robust athletics program which provides students with opportunities to participate in cross country, track and field, cheer, volleyball, basketball, football, and new this year, swimming.
The ultimate goal for Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is for students to become independent learners and thinkers who can apply what they have learned in real-life situations in high school and beyond. Our students leave Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School to attend their high schools of choice and many have graduated from high school with high honors.
We are proud to provide an outstanding educational opportunity for our students in a nurturing, faith-filled community and we look forward to your involvement in both our parish and school and the opportunity to partner on this educational journey with your family.  If you are interested in seeing first-hand the good things happening at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School, we would be happy to meet with you and share our school community with you.

In Christ,
Cheri Gioe
Principal, Most Blessed Sacrament School
