Welcome to the MBS "Nurse" page! I'm Frances Avery, RN, the MBS School Nurse.
Nurse Hours: Monday-Friday 7:15 am - 3:00 pm. Students will not be seen after 2:45 pm.
To contact me, please use the SNAP Health Portal or call the office at 225-751-0273.
I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake RN Program in 2002, and have been a nurse for over 16 years. During the majority of my nursing career I took care of newborns, but I am also a mother of three with two of my own children who attend MBS. I truly enjoy my job and treat MBS students, faculty and parents as an extension of my own family.
My Daily Routine
On a regular basis I see 10-12 students a day with symptoms ranging from viruses, infections, injuries, wounds, minor aches and pains, and those just needing a little attention and TLC. I also administer and monitor medication including Epi-Pens, Benadryl, ADHD meds, etc.
All families should have received an email with login ID, Password, and instructions. If you have not received an email to view your child's medical information in SNAP, please contact me.
